The Aero Modeling Club - Garud
Aerospace Innovation & Experiential Learning Initiative

Welcome to GARUD

What if students could experience aerospace not just by reading about aircraft, drones and rockets—but by actually designing, building, testing and flying them?

That is the idea behind GARUD – Aero Modeling Club, an aerospace learning and competition programme designed to introduce students to the exciting world of aviation, aeromodelling and aerospace technology.

Integrated with the I-KIT STEAM Lab, GARUD is designed for students from Classes 3 to 12, offering a progressive learning journey that grows with their age, skills and interests.

From a simple paper aircraft to gliders, RC aircraft, drones and advanced UAV concepts, students gradually move from exploration to engineering, and from learning to innovation.

Hands on Learning Aerospace Through Experience

Aerospace is a perfect combination of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and creativity.

Through GARUD, students don’t simply learn the principles of flight—they get opportunities to observe, experiment, design, build, simulate, test and improve.

The programme introduces students to a wide range of aerospace concepts, including:

This hands-on approach helps students understand how classroom concepts can be transformed into real-world engineering solutions.
